Deepika Padukone – reason for India’s Shock World Cup Exit

After watching the D/N encounter between India & England, I was pretty sure that media & the general public will be against M.S. Dhoni for his ‘irresponsible mistakes’.

Morning, I got up late as usual & saw the news to discover the public & media are against the defeat & more importantly against Dhoni for his arrogant attitude. It was coming.

Top reasons for India’s exit out of World Twenty20:

  1. “Cricket Over Burn” – Back 2 Back cricket & IPL might have bought some good match practice for Team India (taking this as advantage, they even skipped match practice during matches of World cup)…..However, it also bought injuries amoung several players and exposed Team India’s weaknesses to its Opponents.
  2. Weaker opponents in the first Group – Ireland & Bangladesh. With our guys, already pumped up with ‘over confidence’ & ‘arrogant no fear’ attitude and coming out from IPL, encounters with weaker teams only makes them more irresponsible & there is nothing they can ‘Learn’. This made them think they are the World Champions even before the World Cup began.
  3. First match against West Indies, I think we should not blame India for the loss. It is West Indies who played better. However, We can point out at the ‘tikum tikum’ performance of Mr. Dhoni who played 23 balls to get just 11 runs. It’s T20 & he is capable of hitting Big 6′s. Crowd & Team India would be rather happy if he hits 1st ball for 6 & gets out ….rather than this test match performance. Even VVS Laxman could have hit 30 runs out of 23 balls if given the opportunity in T20 format.
  4. “Decision to Bowl” against England when we are never great chasers of the game & considering that we have the ability to restrict opponents with part time bowling too.
  5. Deepika Padukone – Major distraction. Remember the Love Triangle between Yuvraj, Deepika and Dhoni ? I remember rumours of Dhoni’s comments that ‘Deepika dumped him’. She had come down to watch the match and obviously Dhoni & Yuvi should have got the word from somewhere. This could have made Dhoni’s distracted which showed up later in the game with his ‘stupid gamble’ by sending Ravindra Jadeja to bat at no.2.
  6. “PANIC & FEAR” – When M.S.Dhoni batted at #3 & Yuvraj at #4, Questions were raised by Media & Public as to why he did that instead of sending “Raina” top the order. Dhoni was good here to answer it was for the balance of the team. SAME Dhoni FEARED of Faster bowling ….lights of Sidebottom, Anderson & Broad…that he sent kids out to bat at #3 & #4 for the crucial encounter which they weren’t prepared.
  7. If Dhoni was not feared (or) wanted his key players to hold back, why were they waiting for things to happen when Ravindra Jadeja was batting…instead of ‘sending a clear message to him’ – hit out / get out when the gamble didn’t work. They waited till then 10th over & I think that made lot of difference.
  8. “Gary Kristen” – He is nicely escaping from the blame. He is such a “coward” that he wanted to go back to SA when there was attack in Mumbai. Heard from rumours he was recommended by Rahul Dravid & co.  Gary Kristen could have made the changes & could have recommended Dhoni not to repeat mistakes / for the mistakes that happened on field.
  9. Bowling attack – Harbhajan was the only bowler who bowled really good. Hey hold on, I have something for this guy. Harbhajan is one of the seniors in the team & being a crucial match, he should know how to held his nerve & not to bowl extras. His 2 Wides (which went for boundaries) shows how “irresponsible & Arrogant” he is. If he is a match winner, who cares? I don’t really care. He should make the team win & not try to get his own credits all the time.
  10. Shocking Mistakes – RP Singh, Zaheer Khan were not given their full quota of 4 overs. Pragnan Ojha not included in the team. Irfan Patan – the senior pro who was needed for crucial encounter just for that confidence on-field irrespective of his performance. All this was missing badly.
  11. Virender Sehwag – I think he is acting too smart now a days. May be he is senior pro but, he must understand he is yet to become ‘a tendulkar / a ganguly / a dravid / a laxman’. He should learn to stay in his feet & not be too oversmart. His IPL captaincy showed some of the arrogance he has by not picking Mc.Grath & Vettori in crucial matches for his team franchise. Well, it doesn’t end there. He had an injury & hide that to get a spot in the squad. It doesn’t end here as well, when the news was very clear about the injury, he made a controversy through his numb attitude which led to confusions of Dhoni-Sehwag rift. Dhoni making a fairy-tale out of it by bringing entire team to press conference to show ‘Unity’. lol.

Wah! So many controversies for the lack of defeat and we call this side a balanced side led by Mr.Cool captain. First, remove the ‘M’ factor – Indian Premiere League & the Money…..or performance based Money, things will be set alright. Afterall, these cricketers give more importance to Money over Nation. (Example : Dhoni & Harbhajan missing out for Padmashri awards….to get some rest & head towards South Africa for IPL)

    Sai,

Bro, you are absolutely right. The main reason for India’s exit is definitely Dhoni’s blundering mistakes. I mean, what the hell was he thinking taking out Irfan Pathan and Prangya Ojha when Ojha is, in fact, one of the highest wicket takers with lowest economy rates. He sent the the wrong bowler at the wrong time and went on with it to send the wrong batsman too. If you ask me, he has completely lost it and should take a long rest and take a good long look at his mental synopsis on the field.

    Chill bro,
Its just a defeat. Look, we were not that great a team anyway. Dhoni had a great run of luck for this long, suddenly the law of averages has caught up with him.
    2. Burnout – yes you are absolutely right about that. We play under so much pressure everytime we go to the middle, and suppose someone has to play so much with this kinda pressure, we are bound to buckle down. Not everyone is a Tendulkar.
    3. Tactical mistakes in the field – i would disagree with that. India did really well in restricting the Englishmen to 153 – you cant ask more of a bowling side. Zaheer got 3 or RP got 3 is a different issue. The part timers did well – and so they weren’t needed in the end. Anyways, having seen RP in the IPL, even a Steve Waugh wouldn’t have let him bowl in the death.
    4. They just ran out of steam at a crucial moment in the tourney – happens with a lot many teams dude! Just let that pass – there might be big big things ahead. U never know!

“When we were practising at the nursery ground today, we were booed by Indian fans. It was hard to believe we are playing at home. So we use those boos as motivation to put on a party piece.”
