Google and Apple fight against each other in the battle of Supremacy!
Once known to be good friends are no longer the ‘best’ friends. Google & Apple have split with their ongoing Cold war. It all started with Apple’s rejection of Google Voice followed by “Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google stepping down from Apple’s board of directors”.
It’s a clear fight between these two major companies further adding to the speculation to the bizarre investigation into the Phone application rejection by Apple.
Apple doesn’t have a monopoly on the smartphone business; infact, they’re not even No.1 in the US (probably Nokia is the #1). They are allowed to make bad or just plain confusing business decisions. Consumers and Investors should punish them in the market, the way Micheal Arrington is doing by giving up his IPhone.
Google on the other hand has lot of support in the form of Obama administration and they’re throwing their weight around. After all, Schmidt is one of the Obama’s technology advisor and Obama’s deputy Andrew is a former Google employee.
Basic look of all these issues show that the Companies aren’t that good jellying up with Google. It started with Microsoft, then with Yahoo & now with Apple. This kind of competition actually is pretty evident in the technology world. On the other hand, each one of them have a friendly tie-up in some or other way. Google, when releasing their products make sure they work with the Windows Operating System. Microsoft sells Apple’s Mac software & Yahoo has been in constant friendly relationship with Google. It’s always good game for the Stock investors as long as these cold wars continue.
