How to create Perfect e-mail signatures

Most often people tend to use signatures that carry their Signature, unnecessary guidelines (Confidential, Virus scan), Professional reputation, quotes etc.

But, these usually distract the readers from the actual content in your message.

Tips for E-mail Signature:

  1. Keep it short – Four Lines is the accepted Standard.
  2. Simple Plain Text
  3. NO HTML – they usually end up showing error in most email clients.
  4. No URLS. Even if you do provide, make sure they are not linked.
  5. Skip mailing address – lol
  6. Forget about using a quote.
  7. Avoid legal disclaimer – its just over show off unless mandatory.

Other easy way, is to use an email signature service like WiseStamp, Stationery Central or My Live Signature.
