DevD Film gets ignored in Star Screen Awards for 2009
I didn’t knew who won the awards until I watched the telecast on TV today. It was pretty good start to the awards with Shahid & Shahrukh doing a good job together on stage. Omi Vaidya got 2 awards for his wonderful rib cracking comic role in 3 idiots. I did expect One Award for him but, it was like ‘Chamatkar’ like he mentioned himself that he got two awards. Good to know about that. He will have to continue as a comedian in Bollywood though he is such a wonderful actor, director & everything by himself because he just pulled offВ a blinder in 3 Idiots film.
One shocker for me was there was an exclusion of award to the best film in 2009. There were just 3 hits in 2009 which were DevD, Kaminey & 3 Idiots which came in late december. However, 3 Idiots pulled off all the awards. There is a saying here “they came late, but they were the latest”.
Actually, Anurag Kashyap and DevD film deserved Screen Awards for 2009. Don’t forget the man behind the movie – Abhay Deol. No one actually got the award!!!
3 Idiots did well in the late December but, from the direction point of view & bringing out a complete brainwash sort of movie after long time was DevD. It deserved an Award just like 3 Idiots. It was pretty straight forward choice along with 3 idiots. Unbelievable to know that only one award which went to Mahi Gill was the only award that was received for the DevD guys. Other than that, DevD was ignored during the awards…most not even the nominations. All knew that DevD was the major hit of 2009.
Well, this is what we call the politics in awards. There seems to be politics everywhere. Isn’t it surprising? We hardly cannot name one field where there areВ no politics.

first of all if you are an intelligent movie lover than you should have never watched the awards or should never follow it.. these awards are just meant for one night entertainment.. you perform we will guve you the award… they are tryng to keep everyone happy.. I was astonished to see Anurag attenteduing the awards.. just ignore it otherwise it will dissappoint and can also break some one motivation for making good movies
