Microsoft Outlook 2010 Integrates LinkedIn and Facebook
Microsoft Outlook enters social media. Integrates LinkedIn in the beta edition of Social Connector, available as part of Microsoft Office 2010 beta & as a plugin for  Office 2003 & 2007 users.
The Outlook Social Connector (OSC) available in Outlook brings social views of your colleagues and friends right to your Inbox. As you read your e-mail messages, glance down at the new People Pane to see the picture, name, and title of the sender. A rich, aggregated collection of information about the sender is included.
LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace & Live  integration to Outlook are  likely available for the original release. While the initial reaction says ‘Microsoft is too late to enter’.  It could probably mean much more than just Social Media Connector!!
I mean to say “Facebook Integration to Outlook” is much more than what it actually reads out to general public. Microsoft services & products have been highly criticized by comparing its services to Google.
In fact, if you look closely “Facebook Integration to Outlook” is a step closer to “Biggest E-mail Service Launch Ever” from Facebook (which is due to release anytime later this year). Facebook has more than 400 million users…
Microsoft has been playing its cards right for more than a year now. It’s launch of Bing, Bing Cash back, Windows 7, Windows Phone 7, Microsoft Expression …..all of them thoroughly tested products and made a significant impact. Its not in a position to make mistakes with Critics ready to lash anytime (thanks to Google). So, instead of testing products through public (like what buzz just did), Microsoft is launching just the best products, heading in the right direction. It is slowly but surely making its own impact. Microsoft is not in a hurry to compete with Google, instead its focus is on adding professional touch to its services.
Microsoft Outlook 2010 connector is ready for beta release (LinkedIn supported) & this means a lot is waiting in store  & not just this one.More details & to download Microsoft Outlook Connector, you can visit here: http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/socialconnector/default.aspx
